The Girls in Property program is expanding around the country in 2018.
The Girls in Property program aims to raise awareness amongst high school students about the raft of career paths the property industry offers and encourage greater female participation in the property industry. It is hoped that this initiative assists more young women consider and choose to work in the property industry, helping to create a sustainable pipeline of talent for the growing industry.
What is involved in Victoria GIRlS IN PROPERTY PROGRAM?
The 2018 Victoria Girls in Property program was held on Tuesday 30 October involving over 50, Year 9 students from Mentone Girls Secondary College, Melbourne Girls College, Pascoe Vale Girls College and Canterbury Girls Secondary College.
The program will be delivered across a full day with a focus on students understanding the tangible opportunities of the property industry through a hands-on experience model. The day included an interactive panel session and speed networking at ISPT’s Foy’s Arcade followed by a behind the scenes site tour of The GPT Group’s Melbourne Central. The model highlighted the variety of careers available in the industry by providing the opportunity for the girls to listen, learn and interact with industry members across a range of roles and levels.
